Boss Up Jewels is light luxury: elevated materials, considered value. Depending on the design, that means S925 sterling silver set with moissanite, simulated diamonds, natural or lab-created stones, precision-cut glass, resin or enamel, 18K or 14K gold plating, rhodium or platinum plating, PVD vacuum plating, 316L surgical stainless steel, brass, among other metals. The exact metal, plating and stones for each piece are listed on each product page.

Many of our pieces are plated in real 18K or 14K gold over a base metal such as sterling silver, stainless steel, or brass. Gold plating is real gold, applied as a layer: it is not solid gold. Each product page tells you the exact plating and base metal for that piece.

Eventually, with enough wear: that is true of every plated piece, at every price. How long yours lasts depends on how you treat it. Skin chemistry, perfume, sweat, chlorine and friction are what thin plating fastest. Our PVD-plated and stainless steel styles are the most durable of the line. Gold-plated brass are the most delicate. Care for it well and it will hold its finish for a long time.

All Boss Up Jewels pieces are nickel-free and hypoallergenic, unless noted otherwise on the product page. Water resistance varies by design. Select styles: particularly stainless steel are built to resist everyday moisture, and they say so in the Materials & Fit section. Sensitivities are personal: if you react to certain metals, read the materials listed for a piece before you order.

No. We use moissanite, simulated diamonds, natural and lab-created gemstones, precision-cut glass, resin and enamel: chosen for brilliance and colour, without the mined diamond price tag. Where we list a carat equivalent, it describes the size the stone appears, not the weight of a mined diamond.

You probably wouldn't want to for the longest-lasting finish. It is advised that you take your jewelry off before swimming, hot tubs, hard workouts and sleep. Simple order of operations: hair, makeup, clothes, then jewelry last. Let perfume, lotion, sunscreen and hairspray dry fully before you put it on. After wearing, wipe it gently with a soft dry cloth. Store each piece separately in a pouch, box or compartment so nothing scratches, tangles or rubs: and keep it out of the bathroom, where humidity speeds up tarnish. Never use ultrasonic cleaners, steam cleaners or jewelry dips on plated pieces, enamel, resin or pearl.

These need a gentler hand than metal. Enamel and resin: including our enamel rings and bangles and the resin glass lockets: scratch and cloud with abrasives. Wipe with a soft dry cloth only. No polishing compounds, no ultrasonic or steam cleaners, no jewelry dips. Shell pearl and mother-of-pearl are porous. They absorb perfume, hairspray, oils and cleaning products, and the colour can shift permanently. Put these on last and take them off first. Never soak any of it: water sitting behind a set stone or inside a locket is what causes clouding.

No. Sterling silver tarnishes: it reacts to air, humidity and skin chemistry. It is a property of the metal, not a flaw in the piece. Restore the shine by rubbing gently with a soft polishing cloth. Store silver dry, in a closed box or pouch, ideally with an anti-tarnish strip, and it will darken far more slowly.

Small variations in colour, stone appearance, finish, texture and placement happen naturally: especially in pieces with gemstones, enamel or individually set elements. That is the character of the piece, not a defect.

Open your order as soon as it's delivered. If you notice a manufacturer's defect, email info@bossupjewels.com within 3 days of delivery with your order number and a photo.

We'll replace it or refund it: your choice, and we cover the return shipping. If the style has sold out, we'll replace it with something of equal value or refund you. For 30 days from delivery, we stand behind the workmanship of every piece. This includes a clasp that fails, a setting that gives way, or a stone that drops out under normal wear.

What it doesn't cover: Normal wear and tear, including scratches, tarnish, and plating that thins over time, as well as damage from chemicals, water, impact or excessive force; loss; theft; or any alteration or repair performed elsewhere.

Returns and exchanges on unworn pieces in their original packaging are accepted within 30 days of delivery.
